Who we are

New Avenues might be relatively new on the scene but its founders certainly are not.

With a distinctive level of sector expertise, our founders possess a unique blend of skills and knowledge, combining years of business management and recruitment experience. This blend sets us apart from the crowd enabling us to provide the best talent, industry advice and business services.

The Team

Being a specialist Recruiter in the Media, Entertainment & Creative industries, Ella’s knowledge and expertise is second to none and her network is vast.

Ella really values building strong working relationships with both candidates and clients, resulting in many being both. She really cares about her work and her in depth knowledge and long term relationship approach shines through when you speak to her. She still gets a buzz from helping people find their dream job and has partnered many people through their career journeys.

Outside of work Ella has many interests that keep her busy. She has grown up with horses, loves travelling and is often better on a board or skis than she is on her own two feet. She’s a reluctant gym goer, but has grown to secretly like it,and loves live music, festivals and a good old night out.

She has a passion for food and cooking, whilst not quite Masterchef standards, her food is always appreciated by others. She’s a bit of a social butterfly, however these days she is equally happy reading a book or pottering around her house & garden.

For many years Ella has been an active committee member of a charity for disabled children, helping to put on an annual activity camp where you will again find her in the kitchen for the week.

Stuart began his career at a firm of Chartered Accountants, specialising in the Media sector. Headhunted by a television production, distribution and investment group in the early 1990s, as Group FD he has since held senior positions including FD, Commercial Director, MD and NED at many well known companies in the Film and Television sector.

Stuart also co-founded and ran a highly successful HR & Employment Advisory Services company for two years before his passion for the Media industry was too strong and he was tempted back.
 
Since 2016 Stuart provided business consultancy services to a number of Production and Distribution companies, including preparing them for sale, mentoring key staff, raising capital, sourcing staff and providing introductions to associate companies.
 
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and their Great Dane, Gypsy (who is the size of a small pony!).
Sport has always been a big part of Stu’s life, both playing and spectating.  Over the years he has played a number of sports to a reasonable standard, with his real passion being anything that involves a racket – Tennis, Squash, Badminton to name a few.

However these days he takes great pleasure watching his children compete at levels he could only dream of.
